Product Description

Sodium hydroxide, also known as caustic soda, caustic soda and caustic soda, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of NaOH. Sodium hydroxide is strongly alkaline and highly corrosive. It can be used as acid neutralizer, coordination masking agent, precipitant, precipitation masking agent, color developer, saponifier, peeling agent, detergent, etc. it is widely used. 

Storage method  
Sodium hydroxide shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. The storage temperature shall not exceed 35 ºC, and the relative humidity shall not exceed 80%. The package must be sealed to prevent moisture. It shall be stored separately from inflammable (combustible) substances, acids, etc., and mixed storage shall not be allowed. The storage area shall be equipped with appropriate materials to contain the leakage.

Protective measures 
Engineering control: closed operation, pay attention to ventilation.
Respiratory protection: wear gas mask if necessary.
Eye protection: wear chemical safety glasses.
ody protection: wear work clothes (made of anticorrosive materials). Hand protection: wear rubber gloves.

Application of Caustic Soda Flakes 

1. Caustic soda flakes mainly used as the most common paint stripper on the wooder objects.
2. Caustic Soda can be used in conjunction with zinc for creation of the famous Gold pennies experiment.
3. Caustic Soda can be used in the refining of alumina containing ore (bauxite) to produce aluminas(aluminium oxide) which used to produce aluminium metal via the smelting process.
4. Caustic Soda flakes can be used in soap making(cold process soap,saponification).
5. Caustic Soda flakes can be used in the home as a drain cleaning agent for clearing dogged drains.
